Weekly Newsletter
Here is a recap of our week! It was a busy learning week for us! We had a blast with our November Responsibility Card incentive. The class voted for Electronics Day! :) Friday is RIF Day so we each were able to choose one new book and had a guest reader visit our class. We had a blast listening to Snowmen at Night.
Regions of Wisconsin
The last few days we have been hard at work learning about the five regions of Wisconsin. As a class we learned about the Lake Superior Lowlands region. We researched the landforms, plants, animals, and major cities of this region. After, our class broke into four teams. Each team researched a specific region. We worked as teams to create a Google slideshow and then presented and taught the class about our region. It was a lot of fun!
Google Hangout
We had a blast with our November Google Hangout with the Neville Public Museum. They showed us and talked with us about technology before cell phones! What?!? We saw an a real rotary phone, one of the first laptops, and so much more. It was a lot of fun learning about how technology has changed over time.
New Math Unit - Launching Long Division
We are ready to divide!!! We tapped into our prior knowledge about multiplication and basic division facts to begin our work on division. Division is the process of breaking numbers or objects into equal groups. We reviewed the important vocabulary terms and introduced a new term: remainders. We connected real life examples to help us better understand remainders in our division problems.
Life Science Models
To wrap up our Life Science unit we worked with partners to create a model to show how a Diamondback Rattlesnake and a Beach mouse would use their senses to survive. To wrap up our work, we had a Gallery Walk. Here are some pictures of our work! :)

Destiny Catalog and E-books
We had a visit from Mrs. Austin this week! She reviewed with us about searching for books on the Destiny Catalog. She also showed us how to log in with our Google account so we can create a book list! The last things she showed us was with e-books. We can check out e-books and read them on our Chromebooks or other electronic devices! Woo hoo!!
